Well it's been a hell of a week in music…Radiohead (radiohead, in rainbows, a review of sorts…), Madonna et al, but nothing beats a big fat sweaty night out in a small club watching this week's act of the moment, Justice tearing it up.

And I say that without cynicism as much as with a dose of reality, things move fast these days.

The Justice guys don't DJ so much as fire off sharp, staccato cut ups interspersed with power drill bursts of synth bass lines all designed to make you bounce off the walls, and the crowd at Holocene did just that.

Not quite as intense a night as the Girl Talk blow out but still pretty impressive. Props also to Adam and Justin from Nemo Design for the cool Justice poster.

not as much as the girl talk blow out? man thats some bullshit. i’ve never witnessed anything more intense than the justice show. when will the novelty of girl talk wear off…

all I know i was at both concerts and the Girl Talk show rocked like crazy and the crowd at Justice didn’t really get going. It was way too quiet too…music like that needs to be LOUD! I videoed both shows so you can do an apple to oranges comparison if you like…
Yours in a no BS kinda way, the Moose.

Jordan,I’m confused. Are you saying that the Justice show was much better, or that Justice is just much better overall than Girl Talk. I think Moose was just stating (regardless of music tastes) that one show was much more lively than the other.

I’ve seen a lot of shows that were great even though I didn’t like the band and vice versa. It seems you are not down with girl talk–which is fine–but that doesn’t mean girl talk’s show can’t rock…and that is all I read into this statement:

“Not quite as intense a night as the Girl Talk blow out but still pretty impressive.”
