Sept 17: Indie rock photographer at the Ace Hotel

Pat Graham will be signing copies of his new photography book Silent Pictures at the Ace Hotel at 5:30 PM on Monday September 17th. The book features images of indie rockers on and off stage, mostly from the 1990s. The photos are both intimate and alive, capturing the intensity of the small venue show. The quality and quantity suggest Graham developed close relationships with his subjects which include Ian MacKaye and Isaac Brock. He should have an interesting tale or two to tell.

From Julian:

Plus, dude*, Stumptown is there…

Will they let me in the hotel if I don’t have a tattoo?

I think if you flash some American Spirit smokes you will get a pass.

I was just there for a Stumptown and a “Desolation” IPA = lunch :)

I have no tattoos nor cigerettes, and they made me an excellent expresso*. So, yes, you too can be served sans tattoo.

*made one for C-Block too, and he had to pay for betting against my Oklahoma Sooners…like Utah State was gonna score 7 points on us…crazy!
