Before he competes in Chopsticks Stache Fest, The Mayor of Belmont (M.O.B.) would like to invite you to his annual street fair this Saturday. I tried to reach the mayor with details, but he's a rather busy man and apparently he's organizing a domino posse against me at the moment–probably involving my arch-nemesis.
Anyway, here is some info I was able to find on Belmont Area Business Association website:
A major activity is the annual Belmont Street Fair the Saturday following Labor Day. For the holidays we organize special promotions: a group ad in the SE Examiner, special holiday graphics, street banner, decorations, and a window contest. We also host an annual banquet and elections in late February, publish a monthly news column on the inside last page of SE Examiner, maintain a mailing and e-mail list, sponsor special events like seminars on marketing, safety and finance, have special projects like the Belmont banners, flower baskets and public art, and maintain active contacts with the City of Portland and the Alliance of Portland Neighborhood Business Assocations (I misspell often, but wow–this is in their name).
