First Thursday @ Hecklewood | ARTifact: A Visual History of The West + Free PBR

ARTifact-EFLYER

Hey all.

We have an opening tomorrow night for our new exhibition, ARTifact: a visual history of the West.  It's pretty awesome if I do say so myself.  There's free Pabst, and I'll be playing old soul music the whole night.  And yes, my DJ name is Bill Posters.  Don't ask what it means, cause there isn't a good answer.

This month's show is a tribute of sorts to the West.  It's a bit of a departure from our standard exhibitions — instead of showcasing current artists' new work, I've collected a range of historic items that delve into the history of the West.  From cowboy pulp magazines, to vintage linen postcards, to original pre-1900's photos of Portland; all of the items are a sort of artifact in their own right.

As always, Pabst has provided us with complimentary beverages for all of our patrons, and I will be spinning early rock, soul and funk 45s throughout the night.  Come through tomorrow night and check it out.
