Help the Wheels of Justice on their way to Nationals
Portland's very own Wheels of Justice have trained hard and skated harder to move up in rankings to 6th in the country! Now is your opportunity to help your hometown team keep the momentum rolling all the way to The Women's Flat Track Derby Association's Western Regionals in Sacramento, then on to Chicago in November for the WFTDA 2010 National Tournament!
On Saturday, July 31st at 1:30 pm, the skate-o-thon will cover a nine-mile loop from Oaks Park, down the Springwater Corridor, across the Steel Bridge, through the Tom McCall Waterfront Park, across the Hawthorne Bridge and then back to Oaks. Proceeds will help send Portland's own, Rose City Rollers All-Star team, The Wheels of Justice, to the 2010 WFTDA Western Regional Tournament.
A portion of the proceeds will also benefit RCR's high school age derby girls, The Rose Buds.
If you're a skater from another league and would like to participate and help raise funds for RCR, please feel free to join us. Â Sign-up and additional information can be found here.
Rose City Rollers is a 501(c)3 charity and your donation is tax deductible!
Click here to donate to the general FUNdraising effort or hit up your favorite skater to donate on her behalf and please include your email so we can verify your funds were received and donated in that skater's name. Â When donating to a particular skater, you may contribute a lump sum or per mile.
We would like to thank you all, in advance, for your devotion and support to keep the Rose City Rollers rolling…as we were born to do.
See you at the Sk8othon!
