Tour the popular Christmas trees growing in Hoyt Arboretum, including Oregon natives and other varieties available in the Portland area Saturday, December 5, 12p.m. with Hoyt Arboretum Tour Guide, Ken Denniston, author of nwconifers.com. The tour also includes Christmas tree history and tips on picking out the perfect Christmas tree.

Meet at the Visitor Center, 4000 SW Fairview Blvd., Washington Park, Portland, OR. Registration is not required. HAF members are free, non-members, $3 recommended donation. For further information call 503-823-1649 or www.hoytarboretum.org.

Dress appropriately for the weather and trails: raincoat, umbrella, hiking boots or sturdy shoes.

To get to the Hoyt Arboretum, take MAX to the zoo and walk up the hill which takes about 10 minutes. Parking is available in the adjacent lots or for free on the street (avoid no parking signs).

The Hoyt Arboretum is a 501(c)(3) organization.
