LiquidLight – (Set time: 11:00 PM)
In an age where popular culture pushes to “out-extreme” the latest and greatest, LiquidLight pursues balance and clarity with respect to great rock tradition. With a high standard of execution, strong melodies and elements of psychedelic and alternative influences, the music conveys a new, yet referential optimism.
Songwriters Anthony Medici and Cory West are each highly accomplished multi-instrumentalists backed by an explosive and versatile rhythm section – drummer Zack Rodrigues and bassist Gage Dean. Medici’s lead vocals lend a cryptic yet powerful element to the sound and structure of the band, echoing the melodic sensibilities of the college/alternative era.
The Hugs – (Set time: 10:00 PM)
“The Hugs have been occupying their own little corner of the Portland music scene for six years now, cranking out garage pop with an ear for arenas. You could even say it’s underappreciated by some. Lead Hug Danny Delegato has forged ahead through personnel changes, kicking out happy pop for sad souls. And they keep getting better. The band’s latest LP, Love Led You, Here is jam-packed with exuberant, full-bodied pop with hooks aplenty and a sparkly sheen. It’s easily the Hugs’ best work to date, and should turn the spotlight on this motley crew in Portland and beyond. ”

Altadore – (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Altadore is an indie rock project hailing from Portland, OR. Fronted by singer-songwriter David Katz, ambient, reverb-slicked guitars are blended with contemplative lyrics. After a handful of failed projects, Katz decided to start a solo project. Songs were written, studio time was booked, and eventually a record was made. Altadore’s first single, “Moments”, has already shown great success by obtaining airplay from Portland’s alternative radio station, 94.7fm. In the band’s March ’13 feature, Alternative Press Magazine suggests that fans of The National and Arcade Fire will indulge in the dynamic and ethereal sounds of Altadore. The debut album, Golden Hills, is out now on all digital outlets.
