Their fans keep time with chopsticks, bounce around an inflated alligator, and shout the words to ‘The Scout’. The band shimmies to the stage floor in rhythm, brings out a friend to sing ‘White Rabbit’, and generally creates joyous mayhem. The Brothers Comatose, from San Francisco, are tearing up the West and moving out nationally in rapid style.

Ben and Alex Morrison, guitar and banjo, and lead vocalists, front this rocking string band that has become a West coast headliner and national touring act in a mere five years. With stellar accompanists Phil Brezina on fiddle, Ryan Avellone on mandolin and founding member Gio Benedetti on upright bass and harmony vocal, their high energy, audience engaging shows have caught fire with a quickly growing fan base.

The band’s 2015 calendar includes DelFest, High Sierra, Bottlerock, Pickathon, Phases of the Moon, ROMP, multiple national tours, and headlining dates in San Diego, Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, San Francisco…

See The Brothers Comatose, and you might go home singing ‘Pie For Breakfast’.

My boyfriend and I love to dance especially to some blue grass in the form of The Brothers Comatose. Unfortunately my exuberance tends to get the better of me, leading to accidental, repeated stepping on my boyfriend’s toes (oops). Please help me cajole my guy back onto the dance floor with two tickets to Saturdays show!

I’m interested! I’m from the South on the East coast of our fine country. Because of my birth place, I have a special appreciation *our* country’s Folk & Bluegrass music.

Unfortunately, since I have relocated to this area, I haven’t had very many opportunities to dust off my spoons and tap along. :-(

I will however, look around for them with hope and anticipation of being picked for the tickets. Worst case scenario, I show up with my pink music egg to shake along while you play. I own a Food Truck called “Ingrid’s GoodStreetFood” (shameless plug) and we close at 8pm on Saturday, so I’m glad to see that you don’t start until 9 ;-)

Hope to see you guys Saturday night!

My friend is from Sweetwater, Texas and has recently moved to Portland. Shortly after the move, he and his wife were divorced. Would love to be able to get him to a show that would bring a smile to his face.
