Urban Tellers® pushes the boundaries between teller and audience, as stories filled with compassion and truth leave all transformed. This month, hear from Portland’s own Philip Schlachter, Lynn Fitch, Frank Engel, Bruce Livingston, Samuel Routh, and Mayah Frank. Doors open at 7 pm for a social hour with wine and beer available for purchase and entertainment provided by jazz quartet, Bamberger, Engel, Hines, and Eave.

About Urban Tellers
With a low admission price and a social, festive atmosphere, Urban Tellers® is the perfect weekend entertainment event. This performance is hosted by Portland Story Theater founders, Lawrence Howard and Lynne Duddy, who also jointly teach the Art of the Personal Narrative class as well as storytelling workshops throughout the year.

All shows 21+ with no-host bar (wine and beer by Ninkasi). Wheelchair accessible. Free off street parking available.

Launched in 2004, Portland Story Theater is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to making the narrative arts an integral part of Portland’s rich cultural identity and is committed to bringing an authentic story and theater experience to inspire, challenge and expand a sense of community in Portland’s urban environment.

I love hearing story of others. I’m a big fan of the Moth podcast, a cast that focuses on true stories from people. What would be better than to hear such stories in person from local people?

    • PDX Story Theater December 8, 2015 at 11:15 am #

Kelly, that is so true and hearing stories from people in our own neighborhood can bring us together in ways that really matter.

I would like to win because I like exposing myself to new things. I also just won tickets to Pietros pizza from 750 the fan and met a girl there. She worked at the prize counter. My 6 year old daughter liked her so I asked for her number. Anyways, we hit it off and this sounds like it would be a cool date!

  3. Leslie December 1, 2015 at 5:25 am #

We loves a good story?! This girl!!
Love the Abbey too. This would make a great date night for the hubby and I.

  5. Ivel December 1, 2015 at 8:20 pm #

I’d like to win tickets because:
    * storytelling is one of our most basic ways of connecting with others, and I could use some more connection
    * it would be a treat
    * I could share it with a friend
    * it would give me an excuse to get inspired.

    Thanks! Have a good night.

    • PDX Story Theater December 8, 2015 at 11:19 am #

Hello Ivel, Well, well, well, you really put some thought into your response. Good luck! We notify the winner on Friday afternoon via email.
