2011 Portland Polish Festival
Saturday: Sept 24, 11am – 10pm | Sunday, Sept 25, noon – 6pm
3900 N. Interstate Ave., Portland, Oregon
ADMISSION FREE

The Polish festival is an event for families and singles, adults and children, for food connoisseurs, music lovers, concert goers, dance enthusiasts, … It is for everyone.

During the festival, we provide non-stop stage performances, including a few dance groups and music bands, polka contest on Saturday and Sunday, a street dance, delicious Polish food and imported Polish beer. The event is held on Failing Street between the two historic buildings of the Polish Library built in 1911 and St. Stanislaus Church built in 1907, both located on N. Interstate Avenue in Portland Oregon.

Over 10,000 people are expected to attend the festival. It is prepared and run by over 300 volunteers organized by the Polish Association.

Join the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB) and other local Indian organizations for their 6th Annual “American Indian Day Celebration”. The event will include Northwest Tribal leaders, Indian advocates, drum groups, dancers, and arts and crafts vendors who will share their talents and experiences with the Portland community.

Tribal organizations will set-up booths displaying health, education, youth and other programs they provide on behalf of Northwest Tribes and the Portland Indian community. For additional information on the event or about NPAIHB, please click here.

On this downtown waterfront walk, we tour the largest mechanical structures in Oregon. We will begin our walk at the corner of NW 2nd & Everett, on the covered steps of the NW Natural Building.

From there, we’ll visit bridge museum, meet a bridge operator, and test for synchronous vertical excitation. We’ll end our walk with a no-host family-style lunch in Chinatown (extra $). We’ll do about a mile of walking, crossing at least three bridges, and seeing about ten in all. Walks are ADA accessible.

This frighteningly entertaining event celebrates film and literature influenced by the master of cosmic horror, Howard Phillips Lovecraft, with two nights of horror, fantasy, and science fiction.
