Sneak Preview Of Portland Bike Sharing | Test Ride Demonstration Bikes

Tomorrow, you can test out the bikes thanks to the people at the Bicycle Transportation Alliance. I wonder if they will be the famous red ones of DC (pictured below).

About Portland Bike Sharing Project:
Last month, the city of Portland requested $2 million in flexible funding for a new Portland Bike Sharing Project, which will include at least 740 bikes in 74 stations across the city.
Bike share programs are growing increasingly popular in the US and worldwide. Portland’s bike sharing program will join 230 other bike sharing systems worldwide, and will be the 10th in North America.
With the purchase of either a long-term membership or a day pass, anyone will be able to check out a bicycle at a rental kiosk. If the bike is returned to any station within 30 minutes, the ride comes at no additional cost.
