Saturday: 2011 Portland International Day Festival @ Roseway Park Blocks | Talent Show, Music, Food, Cash Prizes

There is yet another festival in Portland tomorrow and this one is in the Roseway neighborhood near the Roseway Theater. The 5th Annual Portland International Festival will have local food vendors, music, dancing, cash prizes, and more. Have a good time figuring out how to go to all these Portland events tomorrow.

The Portland International Business District (www.pdxibd.com) presents the 5th annual International Day Festival on Saturday July 9th, 2011 to be held in the Park Blocks at NE 72nd Sandy Blvd. This year’s festival will be held from 10am until 5pm. A Caribbean band, Irish Dancers, and Latina dancers are just some of the performances children danced to. Face painters and balloon artists entertained while community leaders listened to concerns and answered questions about the importance of understanding other cultures.

Talent Show registration starts at 10AM and open to groups of 3 or more, ages 19 and under. Come Show off your Talent and have the chance to win $400 Grand prize, $200 2nd prize or $100 3rd prize!

Turkey Rama, McMinnville’s favorite annual summer festival will be held Friday & Saturday, July 8-9, 2011. One of McMinnville’s oldest traditions, Turkey Rama is celebrating its 51st year in 2011…so make plans now to join us!

Each year thousands of people flock to McMinnville for the food, fun and entertainment of Turkey Rama. The community festival observes the historical importance of the once-thriving turkey business in the surrounding county—the turkey farms are gone, but Turkey Rama lives on!

The McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce and the McMinnville Downtown Association are partnering once again to present the 2011 festivities which will feature the “World’s Largest Turkey BBQ,” a Funtastic Carnival, the McMinnville “Cruise In” Car Show in HistoricDowntown McMinnville, the Turkey Trot (8K Run, 5K Run/Walk, & 2M Walk), a Downtown Street Dance, and much more!
