While last week’s match against Real Salt Lake was the Timbers most high profile to date, today’s game against the Philadelphia Union will continue to up the ante. Philadelphia currently has the league’s second highest points per game behind RSL and with a win would move into first place in the league.

Whereas last year Philadelphia was prone to mistakes at the back, this year they have allowed only two goals through six games, the best defensive record in the league.
