The year’s first single, “Night” earned the estimable Best New Music seal of approval just before she embarked on several very well attended SXSW appearances.

The video for ‘Night’ quickly elevated her to fashion icon as it appeared in several regions of Vogue and the NME declared her “goth’s new figurehead.” Nika was Read the rest of this entry »

GAME 2: Timbers (3-3-1) vs San Jose Earthquakes (1-4-2)
Tuesday, May 3, 7:30 p.m. 95.5 The Game
Previous match-up(s): None

After an impressive win on Saturday against Real Salt Lake the Timbers will need to recover quickly if they want to progress past the San Jose Earthquakes into the final round of US Open Cup play-in matches. While the Timbers are flying high after their victory, San Jose has struggled recently and are without a win in their last five games, losing their last three.

The pressure will be on the Timbers to continue their defense of Jeld-Wen field where they have posted a perfect record of three home wins. Expect a number of bench players to start for the Timbers, as they resume league play on Friday against Philadelphia, while San Jose will likely play many of their starters as they do not take the field again until Wednesday the 11th in Vancouver.
