Most of the Oregon State  Hospital was demolished recently for a new building. But at Portland Center Stage, the hospital’s inmates are alive and well.

Based on a Ken Kesey’s novel, ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest’ explores the inhabitants of an Oregon mental ward and how they are affected by the institutional treatments they receive there. Narrated by Chief Bromden, a Native American pretending to be a deaf mute, the story begins when a rebellious convict, Randle McMurphy, enters the ward and attempts to shake things up.

The Blazers are back at it again tonight against the Miami Heat. The Heat, a team some people thought would push 70 wins this season, are not living up to their expectations. They’re currently on a 4 game losing streak that featured: a blowout at San Antonio; a loss to the Orlando Magic where the Heat blew a 26 point lead; and most recently the Heat lost 86-87 to the Chicago Bulls and head coach (and Portland native) Erik Spoelstra revealed that players were crying about it in the locker room afterward.
