I LOVE the Rose City Rollers! My guy and I know very few people here and would really love the opportunity to go to this. Also, it’s such a great cause. Just doesn’t get any better than charity and roller derby!
Whether I get to go or not I REALLY hope the Portland Firefighters Association gets all the money they need and then some.

I’m a non-profit nerd (read: non-profit salary) with a long standing secret desire to be a roller derby girl. But at 5’3″ and weighing just over a Ben Franklin buck, I fear I would get soooo pummeled.
It seems only fitting that my beau and I should get a chance to be there.
Please?

I would love to see these amazing chicks kick some ass! I have never been to a roller derby event and think it would be so freakin amazing! Kick Ass!

Just watched the movie “Whip It” the other night and I am now obsessed with Roller Derby and wish I could represent as a strong, powerful female. Unfortunately I think I’m too old and too “curvy”. I would love to attend this ball/event with my BFF and make it a girls night out which I so badly deserve with a 2 yr old and an 11 yr old at home! Thank you.

Those ladies are hot! I could use a little rush before the school year begins again.

I would like to go to the Rose City Rollers “Heroes Ball†@ Jupiter Hotel because I think it would be AWESOME to take my good friend Becky w/ me. She was doing derby w/ the girls, but was in a car accident almost 4 mo. ago that has left her off work, and doing derby w/ extreme shoulder damage. Would be something nice for her to enjoy, would love to take her!!!

I’ve been dying to see them since i saw whip it! Tried to win tix last week to no avail.

My co-worker “No Way Jose” says the RCR really makes his day, but I’d like to see them make my night with 2 tix to the Hero’s Ball. My lady and I love to dance and would enjoy a night out at the Jupiter, one of the coolest motels in all of Portland, with the cosmic Doug Fir Lounge a nice place to party and dine. Thanks Heros!

Being the daughter of a firefighter, in a family full of male firefighters, I thought I could hack it too, but the truth is, firefighting is a super tough gig and I couldn’t make it through the physical training in fire school.
It’s no joke and my respect comes from a place of understanding now more than just heroic awe! Maybe I’d have better luck as a derby girl
I can skate and I am still kinda bad-ass even if fire school kicked my butt!!!
Anyway – we just moved here from out of state, don’t know anyone, always looking for something fun and exciting and my husband and I would really enjoy this event which supports my favorite kind of heroes showing honor to their fallen brothers (and sisters).

Rose City Rollers Rock! Love to see them in action and out around the town. A great way to support the people who are willing at a moments notice to risk their lives for others.

This sounds like so much fun! The Rose City Roller Girls are rad, but really, I’d like to spend the evening oogling over the firefighters!
