Slayer and Megadeth are thrilled to announce the new, confirmed routing for the American Carnage North American Tour, which will commence with the rescheduled Canadian Carnage East dates in Quebec City on Friday, July 23. Slayer will then head to Europe for a run of festival dates, returning to kick off the American Carnage leg in Albany, NY on August 11. Complete information regarding ticket sales can be found at www.slayer.net • www.megadeth.com • www.testamentlegiions.com
The American Carnage Tour will mark the first time that Slayer, Megadeth and Testament will have toured the U.S. together since 1991's epic “Clash of the Titans” tour, making this truly a “must-see” event. Slayer and Megadeth have already massacred territories together outside of the U.S., first with four explosive dates in June 2009 across Western Canada – “Canadian Carnage” – the first time the bands had toured together anywhere in 18 years – and then six co-headlining “Carnage” dates in Australia followed last October.
According to various Canadian press outlets last summer: “It was a night of thrash impossible to trash…” “Tales about war, death, destruction, Satan, aliens and serial killers have never been so much fun…” “The two heavy metal heavyweights…went head-to-head on a level playing field. Both bands brought their 'A' game. And the results were anything but pretty – unless you include pretty freakin' loud and pretty freakin' awesome.”
Legendary thrash metal titans Testament, whose latest award-winning release (2008 Album of the Year, Metal Hammer's Golden God Award) The Formation of Damnation, displays them as the quintessential modern heavy metal band, whose experience and accumulated skill allows them to attack with reserves of anger, energy and finesse that make them more powerful than ever. Lead singer Chuck Billy says, “Uniting these bands is the heavy metal event of generations. We are so proud to be a part of it.”

Why should I be given free tickets to the American Carnage Tour? Because being in the presence of the heavy metal trinity of Testament, Megadeth and Slayer would allow me to achieve a lifelong dream: losing my hearing before the age of thirty.

My attendance at this show could score me a dude, but more importantly it’ll score me a cross off my bucket list for one of the best bands ever known, Slayer. Plus, I don’t mind the super awesome natural high that I get when I see bands I’m in love with in person.
September 1, 2010 at 11:23 am
My girlfriend is tired of me yelling “SLAYERRRRRRRR” at the top of my lungs for no apparent reason. If I go, there will be a reason.
September 1, 2010 at 11:37 am
I fucking love slayer and don’t have the $$$ to go. Gotta feed my baby!!!
September 1, 2010 at 11:46 am
Robert, Believe me I’m past 30 and I still hear fine. But all three will put your hearing to the test. I’ve seen all 3 bands in the 80′s and early 90′s. Its going to be a great show!!!! Good luck to everyone! wish i could go but the Portland Beavers are down to there final four games ever in Portland and I have to see them off.
September 1, 2010 at 12:22 pm
Over the years, my boyfriend has encouraged me to listen to more metal. I think if I win these tickets it may not only make his day, but also guarantee me as a solid fan.

September 2, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Ok, so I just celebrated by 62nd birthday and I haven’t been been to a Metal concert since Black Sabbath in the 80′s. I’m in Portland to visit my grandchildren and this would be a perfect way to have a mother and son bonding experience.
September 2, 2010 at 4:47 pm
This would be a great event for a50+ yr. grey haired old man! A brutal show like this probably will recharge my soul & might gain a few yrs. back on my life yeeeeaaah!!!
September 2, 2010 at 4:50 pm
In 1993 my buddies and I had tickets to see Slayer in Fitchburg, Mass, and Tom Araya was sick and couldn’t perform!! Then in 1997 my girlfriend and I drove 4 hours to see Slayer in New York City, and the tickets sold out 2 hours earlier. So we bought tickets from a scalper for $55 each, and they were fake!!
PDXPipeline, please make my 20+ year wish to see my all time favorite band live come true!! Cash has been hard to come by, so this would surely be a treat! Thank you
September 2, 2010 at 4:54 pm
Why do I want to go to see Slayer? For the first time in my life I live close enough to a venue where I can go drink myself into madness while getting pummeled by the mosh pit and then stagger home.
September 2, 2010 at 5:25 pm
My friend made fun of me because I’m broke and he has VIP passes. This will even the odds some. So will my pellet gun.
September 2, 2010 at 5:32 pm
I need to win because I saw Slayer in concert in 1986 and I lost my t-shirt! That demon shirt rocked and i need another one to scare the old ladies.
September 2, 2010 at 7:35 pm
I’d like to have those tickets because I have been a fan since their inception (please don’t expect me to publish my age!) and I look better now than I did then. It’s my chance to finally be a groupie!
September 2, 2010 at 9:49 pm
I like metal! And moshing!!
September 3, 2010 at 12:37 am
Because, I spread disease like a dog and black cats will appear as the witching hour nears. So, just close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself, let your mind go.
September 3, 2010 at 1:00 am
Because Dio would want it this way.
September 3, 2010 at 2:31 am
Struggling with depression=unemployment. Mosh pit might help. I know the music/energy would. Going to the book signing at Powell’s just so I can see Dave again… but I’ve never seen Slayer or Testament.
September 3, 2010 at 2:33 am
it’s simple: I’m a fucking knucklehead waiting to bust some heads!
September 3, 2010 at 8:49 am
So that I could bring in 3 virgins to sacrifice to the antichrist, thus gaining entry into the fiery gates of hell, but this could only Be possible while the unholy trinity is playing live
Hail satan 666
why climb up all those stairs to heaven when you could skate down the hill to HELL
September 3, 2010 at 11:14 am
I wanna go so that I can suck off every member of Slayer except Kerry King…. his favorite movie is Armageddon. He thinks Ben Affleck is metal… what a bald bitch! But honestly its gonna be a sick show- Slayer, Megadeth, Testament- you gotta be kidding me. Looks like max watson has the right idea up there. i wanna go with him.. Does anal virginity count?
September 3, 2010 at 12:19 pm
RAGE!!
September 3, 2010 at 1:35 pm
I would like to attend because I f-ing love slayer and can’t afford the $50 for a ticket. Being broke is a bitch.
September 3, 2010 at 1:48 pm
I would REALLY love to get tickets to the Slayer/Megadeth show. Here’s why: I’ve been out of work this whole year, and my significant other has been paying for everything. We’re fortunate, we’re not starving or the like, but we have not been able to attend any of the concerts we really would have liked to ALL SUMMER!!! There was one event that I did buy tickets to, and it was going to be our one big night out of the year, and I got the date mixed up with this concert date (because we were considering either that concert or Megadeth), and so we ended up missing the show because I am a complete idiot and didn’t double-check the ticket. We both really love Slayer and Megadeth, and I’d like to redeem myself, given that I pulled such a bonehead maneuver and wasted a bunch of money on a concert we didn’t even go to. It’s been 9 months of unsuccessfully trying to find a job, and we could really use a break. I can’t think of a more perfect way than to be able to see this show. We’ve both been working really hard all summer, and we have only gone out once in the last three months (we went for a Sunday drive). Neither of us have seen Slayer or Megadeth perform live either. It would be the absolute best thing EVER if you hooked us up with tickets. It doesn’t get better than Dave Mustaine, and we really want to be there.
September 3, 2010 at 1:50 pm
I used to eat Captain Crunch and overhear my neighbor’s “Seasons in the Abyss” album…which was banned in our Christian home. I tried to grow my hair long and was stifled. I had my bedroom “exorcised” after my parents found metal music in my room. I love roots-metal and would be GRATEFUL to go and continue the rebellion I started 20 years ago. That, and I am the PARTYSLAYER!!!
September 3, 2010 at 2:59 pm
My love of metal began in 1983, my Freshman year of High School (thanks Bobby Funderburke) when I first listened to Megadeth. What followed was an intense love affair with Dave Mustaine that has stayed with me til this day (well, by way of music mags and album covers and now thankfully cd’s and the internet). By the time I dropped out of H.S. my Senior, I had fallen for the likes of Slayer, Testament and many others. Now I’m seeing my son go off to his Freshman year and if there is no Bobby Funderburkes in his class, I will surely introduce him to metal. The only way this bill could get any better is if S.O.D. was on it. Oh, Billy! How I loved you, too…
September 3, 2010 at 3:04 pm

September 3, 2010 at 9:22 pm
I emailed the winner around 3:30 this afternoon. I don;t divulge who wins, but many people comment on Facebook, twitter or on site when they win. I do not see the winner’s comment anywhere though on the nets…so the mystery will stand I guess.
