July 22-25, 2010 — "Always the last full weekend in July"
The Oregon Brewers Festival is one of the nation's longest running and best loved craft beer festivals. Situated on the west bank of the Willamette River, with towering Mt. Hood as a backdrop, it is the ideal venue for anyone who loves craft beer. With a laid back attitude and scores of award-winning beers, the festival reflects the essence of the city of Portland.
The festival exists to provide an opportunity to sample and learn about a variety of craft beer styles from across the country. Eighty-one craft breweries from all parts of the nation offer handcrafted brews to more than 70,000 beer lovers during the four-day event. There's also a Buzz Tent featuring tastes of vintage beer treasures and limited production brews from the participating breweries.
The event features live music all four days, beer-related vendors, beer memorabilia displays, beer writers and publishers, homebrewing demonstrations, and an assortment of foods from a variety of regions. The Crater Lake Root Beer Garden offers complimentary handcrafted root beer for minors and designated drivers.  Minors are always welcome at the festival when accompanied by a parent.
The Oregon Brewers Festival strongly encourages responsible drinking, and urges patrons to take advantage of the MAX Light Rail line, located just one block west of the festival on SW Oak Street. Go by bus, train or taxi, just don't drink and drive. The festival also offers free and secure on-site bicycle parking.
Thurs through Sat, taps are open from Noon to 9 p.m.
Sun, taps are open from Noon to 7 p.m.
Token & mug sales cease one-half hour prior to the taps closing
Admission
Admission into the festival grounds is free. In order to consume beer at the OBF, you must purchase a taster package. Taster packages are available in $10, $20 and $50 increments. All packages include a 2010 souvenir mug, which is required for consuming beer (mugs from previous years will not be filled); a souvenir program that includes a map of where the beers are located onsite; and various quantities of tokens, which are used to purchase beer. Patrons pay four tokens for a full mug of beer, or one token for a taste. Additional tokens may be purchased at $1 apiece.
$10 package: one mug, one program, four tokens
$20 package: one mug, one program, 14 tokens
$50 package: two mugs, one program, 40 tokens

July 5, 2010 at 12:40 pm
Honestly, the best part about winning this package would be that my poor, recent college graduate self could then actually afford to treat my friend who is turning 21 on the last day of the brewers fest to his first legal beer.
July 5, 2010 at 12:41 pm
I love attending the Brewers fest and I’m wanting to take my cousin who just turned 21 this year!
July 5, 2010 at 12:43 pm
Why would I like to attend? Well, who doesn’t like beer…? I know I do!
July 5, 2010 at 12:43 pm
Free beer?! What more is there to say?
July 5, 2010 at 12:51 pm
new to pdx and would love to win some tickets to the brew fest! the last beer fest I went to was a beer and bacon festival in boston, and I’d love to see how portland gets their beer fests done.
thanks!
cheers,
amy
July 5, 2010 at 12:56 pm
that would be so much fun and tasty too!!
July 5, 2010 at 12:58 pm
Oregon brewers fest is such a wonderful summer event! Hopefully the weather will shape up and I’ll win some free beer to make it the best experience ever.
July 5, 2010 at 1:06 pm
Holy Christ! Free beer? This would really make getting laid off a little more tolerable. Let the funemployment begin.
July 5, 2010 at 1:10 pm
I’m going since it is the best beer fest of the summer. Having the prize pack would just make it even better.
July 5, 2010 at 1:13 pm
Because this is such a great quintessential Portland event!
July 5, 2010 at 1:15 pm
I’ve always pined after Brew Fest. But I’ve never been able to afford it… help out your fellow unemployed PDXer!
July 5, 2010 at 1:31 pm
Ive been talking about this festival since i moved back to Oregon 9 months ago.. I have never been!
I also remember living here 10 years ago and not being old enough to go in. Not a fun memory! I need to go and drink some beer!!
July 5, 2010 at 1:43 pm
Oh, this would be wonderful! The boyfriend and I are just really starting to explore all the fantastic Oregon brews, and this would be the perfect crash course!
July 5, 2010 at 1:46 pm
I’ve never been to an Oregon Brew Fest! Can’t wait to try one out…
July 5, 2010 at 3:10 pm
I would love to go for many sooo many reasons, but I guess the top two would be that 1) I’ve never been and 2) I work two jobs and somehow got scheduled for 15 straight full day shifts in a row (ending on the 23rd), and that’s book-ended by my usual 6 days in a row with only Saturday off work weeks. Did I mention I work mostly call center tech support where I make nothing to get verbally abused? Yeah. I’m going to need a drink (or 10) by the end of it.
July 5, 2010 at 3:42 pm
I’m unemployed and beer IS the answer.
Please rip me out of my bummer summer.
July 5, 2010 at 3:42 pm
I’d love this so I can finally convince my very good friend how fabulous our beers are here AND why he should come to this with me. So far all he drinks is hefeweizen! Plus making it free would definitely get him to go
July 5, 2010 at 3:52 pm
As a poor, unemployed college student who is turning 21 on July 25th (the last day of the Brewfest), I think that this would be the best birthday present ever. I love Portland, I love this city, and I KNOW that on my birthday it will be one of those beautiful Portland summer days. I want nothing more than to ride my bike over Hawthorne, down to the waterfront, have some delicious beer and hang out with all of my lovely friends on my birthday. To quote Leigh, life is a party.
July 5, 2010 at 4:34 pm
I’m brand new to the area! I would love to check out the brewers fest!
July 5, 2010 at 5:55 pm
Because the selection in Spokane is not cutting it.
July 5, 2010 at 6:27 pm
My best friend is visiting from Chicago that weekend! It’d be such an awesome thing to be able to treat her and further entice her to move here!
Mmm…beer.
July 5, 2010 at 6:45 pm
I think my husband and I should win this pack because for one I work full time at a pool hall and have a three and a half year old and a one and a half year old. We can never afford to go out because my husband’s laid off, nor do we get the opportunity. For two, my husband and I got married July 25th last year after being together for four years and we didn’t get anything close to a honeymoon, not even a night in a hotel! I’m 22 and think a weekend of fun is much needed!!
July 5, 2010 at 8:06 pm
I would love the opportunity to attend, but along with a lot of other young professionals in the city funds are a little low lately. Man do I love me some beer though
July 5, 2010 at 9:18 pm
40 tokens would make me funnier and better looking.
July 5, 2010 at 9:47 pm
What more can I say???? One of the biggest beer festivals of the year! Even if people don’t win, I recomend going!!! My friend went last year and said it was the best one. So Heres hoping I can win this great package. We do live in the microbrew capital of the world. Don’t drive if you do drink.
Cheers,
Jason Barton
July 5, 2010 at 10:36 pm
I’d like to attend because I take every opportunity I can get to support the PDX beer scene and try new stuff.
July 6, 2010 at 1:33 am
I have been waiting to turn 21 to attend the Brew Fest, and now I can! PDX Pipeline please send me! (Otherwise my poor college student self cannot afford to go)
July 6, 2010 at 7:28 am
2 years in Portland and I have never been!! I think I better make sure I am around this time!
July 6, 2010 at 7:33 am
I’ve been going every year since I moved back, and I love it. I must keep going.
July 6, 2010 at 8:08 am
40 tokens to freedom please!
July 6, 2010 at 11:42 am
PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE………….because I rock!
July 6, 2010 at 1:55 pm
Best beer fest in the world from the Best city ever. (posted by the coolest dude ever recorded)
July 6, 2010 at 3:07 pm
because it’s one of the most fun things about summer in Portland!
July 6, 2010 at 3:43 pm
My husband says I don’t like beer because I’ve never had good beer, so I should win so he can show me good beer.
July 6, 2010 at 5:12 pm
I would love to go because the 25th is my birthday! I’ll be turning 22, and I think attending the Brewers festival would be a significant improvement in classiness from how I spent my 21st. We don’t have to go into that here though.
July 6, 2010 at 11:37 pm
FREE BEER! enough said.
July 7, 2010 at 2:08 am
I moved here four years ago for college and just turned 21. Living in Portland without being able to consume craft beers w/ the city’s finest beer enthusiasts for four years has been torturous. I would be like Homer Simpson on a tour of the Duff factory- beer induced bliss.
July 7, 2010 at 9:23 am
First of all I love PDX Pipeline because it lets me know about Portland “going on’s” and its not your typical mondane stuff.
Oregon Beer Fest rocks..we have some of the best beers in Oregon & I am proud to taste them all! I would LOOOVE to win this package. And my boyfriend would Looove it if I did too!
July 7, 2010 at 9:53 am
I’m still working on my beer body for summer, winning would help me achieve my goal!
July 7, 2010 at 10:27 am
Drinking great beer in the sun along the waterfront is a great way to spend a work day.
July 7, 2010 at 12:00 pm
This is the one time of year that my GOP friend and I (Extreme Liberal Bias) can get together, toast to life’s joys and the experiences that we share (family, earth, beer)!
July 7, 2010 at 1:31 pm
Free Beer!! am flying out of LA just for this!
July 7, 2010 at 5:01 pm
Because we will have visitors in town and need to share the great beer this city has to offer!
July 7, 2010 at 7:37 pm
I love beer, I love Portland, and I love the Oregon Brewers Festival. Some friends and I have been meeting up there every year for 5 years!
July 7, 2010 at 10:19 pm
I love getting sunburned, dusty, and drunk, and then walking home!
July 8, 2010 at 9:30 pm
Good beer, Good music and plenty of free bike parking? Wow Im there!
July 9, 2010 at 10:28 am
I just moved to Portland 3 weeks ago and I am really looking forward to the Oregon Brewers Festival. I am an OSU grad and now a student at PSU for my masters, so money to enjoy the festival is a little slim. I have never been before but have heard so many great things about it! Love pxdpipeline, it is helping me get to know fun things to do in my new city!!
July 9, 2010 at 11:53 am
yes please! I want some free beer!!
July 9, 2010 at 11:54 am
I have finally talked some family into coming out for the brewfest after being out here 18 years! It would be great to win tickets!
July 9, 2010 at 11:57 am
Gotta love 40 free tokens with this giveaway!! woot woot!! hope I win! hahahah not very likely, i suppose.
July 9, 2010 at 11:58 am
My husband and I deserve to win this just because. So, please help us make drinking beer outside with others a reality! Thanks Pipeline!
July 9, 2010 at 11:58 am
Choose Me! I would be so stoked to try all the IPAs!!!!! My favorite.
July 9, 2010 at 11:58 am
Can’t wait to try the new summer beers.
July 9, 2010 at 11:59 am
I’d love to attend a kid-free event just once this summer before my girls return from their great summer escape!
July 9, 2010 at 12:01 pm
I’m the beer SNOB of all beer SNOBs.
July 9, 2010 at 12:01 pm
This is the only beer fest I have yet to go to and it is the best! Loved the organic beer fest but this is the cream! I do love the IPAs myself and need some more inspiration for my own home brewed beer! help me I out!!!
Jon
July 9, 2010 at 12:01 pm
I have friends in town that weekend and the festival is a great way to show them why Oregon beer is far superior to all others.
July 9, 2010 at 12:02 pm
Since I’m not talented enough to brew my own beer, but definitely talented enough to appreciate it, it would be asweome to get tickets to the fest. Please please pretty please?!? You won’t regret it. I promise to try my best to try all 40 tokens worth, even if I have to pass out, regain conciousness, and try again.
July 9, 2010 at 12:02 pm
Another unemployed PDXer desperate for beer. In this hot, hot weather… parched… buzzards circling…
July 9, 2010 at 12:02 pm
Free Beer ME!!!
July 9, 2010 at 12:03 pm
I would LOVE to win this! My sister will be here in Portland for that weekend…she has never been to Portland, she’s only lived in small towns with crappy beers, and I would love to show her a good time at this Beer Fest. Thanks, Julian! xo
July 9, 2010 at 12:03 pm
Portland is the GREATEST beertropolis in the world
I cannot wait for Beerfest! It’s always the highlight to my summer.
July 9, 2010 at 12:04 pm
I have lived in Portland my whole life and have never been to the beer festival. My wife and I love to taste all the different and distinct beers that Portland has to offer. Whenever we go out, we are always trying something new. please pick us, we would love this opportunity to “pop our Oregon Beer Festival cherry!”
July 9, 2010 at 12:07 pm
Would absolutely love – appreciate – enjoy these tickets!!!!!! Best Brew Fest in the country.
July 9, 2010 at 12:07 pm
We’ve tried to attend twice so far, and for various reasons have not managed to enjoy the fest to its fullest. Thanks for the opportunity!
July 9, 2010 at 12:08 pm
I’m so excited for this beerfest! It will give me great new Northwest beer ideas for my beer exchange with the aleheads out in Alabama.
July 9, 2010 at 12:08 pm
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr. *wipes drool off chin*
July 9, 2010 at 12:08 pm
Teachers are always looking for ways to continue their education. While I’m not sure how applicable an ale-ducation would be for my middleschoolers, I recognize that I have a personal deficiency in this area and possess at thirst to learn more! Help me expand beyond the porters I know and love – you know, for the sake of the children…
July 9, 2010 at 12:09 pm
yes please! and thank you.
July 9, 2010 at 12:09 pm
I’ve never been to ANY beer festivals in Oregon. It’s shameful! I hope I win the tickets and remedy this void in my life!
July 9, 2010 at 12:09 pm
I am exhausted from trying to cure cancer. A beer sure would be nice!
July 9, 2010 at 12:12 pm
is this where i convince you to choose me? now? yeah? ok. um, so i uh, heh heh. well, wh-what i really mean…..iuhh. ooh ooh. pick me! pick me!
July 9, 2010 at 12:15 pm
I *love* quality beer, and after volunteering at NAOBF, I’m even more jazzed about the Oregon Brewfest!
July 9, 2010 at 12:19 pm
Because my boyfriend who is serving in the Army will finally be home after 6 long months away from me (and good beer) and has been stuck drinking mediocre beer by himself. He would be honored to drink free beer with the right amount of head…
July 9, 2010 at 12:20 pm
I have missed the fest 2 years in a row now due to unforeseen circumstances & NEED to go this year for sure! Plus, who in their right mind wouldn’t want to go??? *sheesh*
July 9, 2010 at 12:21 pm
I just really like cold beers on hot days!
July 9, 2010 at 12:22 pm
Last time I went to this the tents sounded like a chicken farm. BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK!!!!!!! This time I’ll throw out some chicken feed and shorten the lines.
July 9, 2010 at 12:22 pm
Haven’t been, would love to go… beer, beer, BEER!!
July 9, 2010 at 12:24 pm
The Oregon brewer’s fest is my Christmas. I don’t need wrapping paper, presents, trees, egg nog, dogs in antlers, relatives with snowman sweaters, bad TV movies from the 90′s with Jonathan Taylor Thomas, rock hard fruit cake and regret….
I just need beer… and lots of it. And I want to share it with about 60,000 of my friends on a hot July day before we all bike to Montage for drunkin’ mac and cheese!
July 9, 2010 at 12:28 pm
Ok honestly, I don’t have any sob story as to why I need free beer. I’m not turning 21, but I DID just turn 30..that’s tragic in itself let me tell you. I’m not unemployed, but I was for 2 years..and I did manage to attend the Bite of Portland but I’ve heard this was much better! I’ve actually been at my job for almost a year…stuck in a cubicle..on my butt all day..and I’ve gained 15 lbs doing so..hey that’s pretty sad, right? I’m not graduating college but I DO have a 12 year old that will soon be turning into an evil teenager..giving me another reason to drink. OH! And I play Roller Derby..this requires a LOT of beer drinking. If I win I PROMISE to bring MANY other derby girls with me
Good luck to all!….*crossing my fingers*….
July 9, 2010 at 12:28 pm
How can anyone ever miss the Oregon Brewers Fest. Always up for some great beer!!!
July 9, 2010 at 12:30 pm
I went last year for the first time, but it was a last-minute decision to attend, and it was on the last day one hour before they stopped serving beer. I’d love to give the festival my full attention this time around! Plus, “free” is definitely within my graduate-student budget.
July 9, 2010 at 12:31 pm
I’d love to win this!! It would be my first brewfest ever!! Which is kind of totally inexcusable, as I’ve lived here fo so freaking long!!!!!
July 9, 2010 at 12:33 pm
It would be the quintessential way to try and impress a southern lady whom/who (never sure of the proper grammar on this one) I’m wanting to woo. If it all works out, I’ll invite you to the wedding and gladly repay you with free beer and cake.
July 9, 2010 at 12:35 pm
delicious flavors opening new horizons to my pallet mmmmmmm
July 9, 2010 at 12:39 pm
Love the beer fest, and a great band Head for the Hills is playing. Free tickets would be sweet.
July 9, 2010 at 12:43 pm
I like beer.
July 9, 2010 at 12:44 pm
I must win. My friend just brought me back a hat direct from Alaskan Brewing. I need to prove to her I am worthy.
July 9, 2010 at 12:45 pm
I’ve lived in Portland for 3 years now and have NEVER gone to this event… that’s just wrong. PICK ME!!
July 9, 2010 at 12:47 pm
My best friend and I are both broke nursing students. I can’t think of a better way to unwind from a stressful week of clinical than hanging out and consuming free beer.
July 9, 2010 at 12:48 pm
Never been to the fest and would love some brews by the water, yay
July 9, 2010 at 12:50 pm
Can’t for the brewfest! Pick me to win!
July 9, 2010 at 12:54 pm
This is like my Superbowl…My world series….My World Cup. This is the event I look forward to each and every year. It’s also my wedding anniversary weekend. My wife and I took our wedding party to the festival the year we were married. We honeymooned in England when the Great British Beer Festival was being held. We love beer and need to be at the Oregon Brewers Festival!
July 9, 2010 at 12:55 pm
Mmmmmm….. Beer!
July 9, 2010 at 12:58 pm
It is hard to follow the last plea for tickets, but alas I will try. I would love to go and free is my favorite four leter word.
July 9, 2010 at 1:00 pm
Getting to share cold, tasty drinks in the hot summer sun with friends (while finding new friends and drinks) is what summer is all about. Winning the package would just help add that little exclamation point to this great time for me.
July 9, 2010 at 1:02 pm
I’d like to go because I was taken from Portland and shipped to Minnesota for a year for work. And alas, this is one of the few weekends I’ll be in Portland. And I love beer! And I’ve been going every year that I’m old enough to drink!
July 9, 2010 at 1:09 pm
It’ll be my first time at the fest. So if I’m going to lose my beerginity, I better do it right!
July 9, 2010 at 1:09 pm
We are new to portland, and have never been to Brew Fest. We would LOVE to go and get a chance to experience Portland Finest.
July 9, 2010 at 1:10 pm
I love to go to the beerfest to try out the many different types of beers that I haven’t tried before. It is a great way to discover the new breweries and spend the weekend. I hope you choose me. Thanks!
July 9, 2010 at 1:11 pm
Being new to Portland as well, I’d love to check out the brew fest for the first time!
July 9, 2010 at 1:11 pm
I would like to win the tix because, as the great Dave Barry once said:
“”Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.”
July 9, 2010 at 1:21 pm
The best (and most quenching) weekend in Portland. It ALWAYS tops my list. I just hope that Pliney makes a visit this year!
July 9, 2010 at 1:21 pm
I love Oregon Brewers Fest! It’s the ultimate summer activity! Hope to enjoy it for free!
July 9, 2010 at 1:29 pm
I have gone to this festival for 3 years and I love meeting new people and love all the different selection of beers that are offered. I’ve been laid off for a few months now and this win would be a wonderful treat!
July 9, 2010 at 1:37 pm
Always a good time, free just makes it that much better :]
July 9, 2010 at 1:39 pm
Hello! I’ve been in Portland for almost three years. Prior to moving here I didn’t like beer -at all-! I’m slowly coming around to enjoying the Oregon beer and am looking to attend the Brew Fest to start sampling more Oregon beer!
July 9, 2010 at 1:44 pm
I have a newborn baby. What better way to celebrate than bringing him to the beer festival…or getting a sitter and go to the beer festival
July 9, 2010 at 1:46 pm
Ahhhhh beer……..The true nectar of the gods! I would really love to go this year and try the new summer ales! Yea, I’m a beer snob and a blogger. Maybe this year I can write about my many adventures in beer land, a Garden of Eden if you will. Here s hoping. Knock on a beer glass.
July 9, 2010 at 1:49 pm
It would be great to celebrate my wedding anniversary at the Brewer’s Fest for free this year!
July 9, 2010 at 2:10 pm
The brewfest is so PORTLAND! I love beer and I’m feeling LUCKY!!!
July 9, 2010 at 2:13 pm
Well, there is truly nothing better than summer in Portland.
What other city has a whole month devoted to craft beer.
Mmmmmm, beer. What is not so great is to be broke in Portland during the summer. Could use a hand here. Thanks
July 9, 2010 at 2:20 pm
This will be my 7th brewfest in a row but I’m broke…. Please pick me! See everyone there!
July 9, 2010 at 2:21 pm
I’m Oregons top brew fans.. Would love to be your guest at the festival.. Call it an early birthday gift which is on the 30th.. Thanks!
July 9, 2010 at 2:24 pm
I’ve lived here 15 years and haven’t been yet. I’d love to go.
July 9, 2010 at 2:26 pm
I moved here FOR THE BEER in 1995! Been loving every minute since in ‘BeerVana’. The Brewfest is now a family event for us and I’d love to prove to my little hop-head that people REALLY DO WIN contests!
July 9, 2010 at 2:27 pm
My dad is going to be in town from Montana. He loves Oregon beers, and he’s never been to the festival. Please pick me!
July 9, 2010 at 2:33 pm
Why? Why should I want to go to win the Brewers Fest package? Well, I believe that the best way to put it should come from an old family saying, “I don’t get drunk, I get awesome.”. A saying adopted from our Scotch ancestors who settled in the American Southeast in the mid eighteenth century.
July 9, 2010 at 2:33 pm
I’ve already said too much.
July 9, 2010 at 2:36 pm
Who doesn’t want free beer?! I’d love it to be me, but if not, congrats ahead of time to whomever the lucky duck may be & be sure to have a drink for me!
July 9, 2010 at 2:41 pm
I have been on the wagon since I graduated in May with an unmarketable MA. I would LOVE to break that streak with free tickets to the Fest!
July 9, 2010 at 2:43 pm
I recently moved home to Portland after being gone to Texas for five LONG years. There are so many different beers now, and I’d love to reacquaint myself by getting into Brewfest for free!
July 9, 2010 at 2:45 pm
i should win because i’ve never been to the OBF, i’m a huge fan of microbrews, it’s the weekend right before my birthday, and i can’t afford admission. please help!?!
July 9, 2010 at 2:48 pm
my girl tells me I need to gain weight AND I need to do important research in porters and Belgian style beers!
July 9, 2010 at 2:52 pm
I’ve never been to a beer festival and would love to go!
July 9, 2010 at 3:06 pm
That would Definetely Be A Happy Birthday Present to Me!You Guys Rock Big Time!!!
July 9, 2010 at 3:09 pm
I would love to go, especially for free. I’ve never been before. Could be fun.
July 9, 2010 at 3:14 pm
I want to win this package really badly but if I have to lose, please pick the couple that celebrates their anniversary every year at the BrewFest (Brian) or the college grad newbie with the friend turning 21 (Maggie). I liked their stories and would love to see them win…if I don’t of course
July 9, 2010 at 3:21 pm
it’s been years since i partook in the brew fest…yes, please!
July 9, 2010 at 3:26 pm
My sister and husband are having a baby!!! I’ll be driving to visit them and help set up the baby room. The brewfest would be a great way to celebrate the new one coming in to the world, well…and to try out a number of new beers.
Another great reason to win the tickets is to celebrate the fact that I still have a job as a music teacher!!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!
July 9, 2010 at 3:36 pm
I would *love to go the Oregon Beer Festival because it is my birthday weekend!
It’s July 23, and what better way to celebrate than drinking some of the best beer in the world?!
July 9, 2010 at 4:01 pm
I have volunteered for this and many other fests for the lone reason that I like to drink good beer and it’s just too much dolla bills for me go otherwise. Tragedy of tragedy, I can’t volunteer this year and don’t want to be stuck crying @ the gate. Please help me out.
July 9, 2010 at 4:01 pm
So, why should I win? I went to OBF two summers ago and I really really want to go again! I’m broke because I just moved, and i’m paying out the a$$ to be a bridesmaid in a family members wedding(which is less than optional). Plus, I’ll be participating in the Cascade Lakes Relay the next weekend, so i’ll have to say no to beer in the week prior. Please please please pick me!
July 9, 2010 at 4:02 pm
That’s right, tragedy of one tragedy, not multiple tragedies. Meant to do that.
July 9, 2010 at 4:15 pm
Pleeaase allow me the pleasure of attending this Brewers Festival for free. I’ve been working like a dog and I totally need a drink!
July 9, 2010 at 4:32 pm
I wanna go because I like beer and it’s hot outside.
July 9, 2010 at 4:57 pm
I want to go sooo bad! I have never been…
July 9, 2010 at 5:11 pm
I unexpectedly started working graveyard shifts a few weeks ago which gives me no time to enjoy delicious beer!
my apartment does look awesome though because all my cups are brewers fest plastic mugs! my mom got a crate of them to use at her backyard wedding in 2003 and I got a ton of them when I got my 1st apartment later that year. hehe!
July 9, 2010 at 5:19 pm
BEER GOOD…
July 9, 2010 at 5:25 pm
If I won tickets the boss would have to let me out of working this weekend!!

I want to go, because I love beer, especially craft beers, and we love to support small breweries. And we need to get out of the house for once!
July 9, 2010 at 6:00 pm
Don’t eat the yellow snow, but DO drink the yellow beer. Also, don’t discriminate against beers of other colors. Come to think about it, yellow, brown and red are all colors of delicious delicious beer. But these are all colors of snow one should stay away from. I guess the opposite of beer is snow. Think about that.
July 9, 2010 at 6:27 pm
This would make for a great first time out since my 2 month old was born! I love the brewfest, been going as long as it was legal for me to do so!
July 9, 2010 at 7:04 pm
Last year with a small amount of tokens and the blazing sun, I got buzzed, then tired, and was asleep by 1pm. I vowed this year would be different. I vowed I would be at the fest and consistently drunk all day. I vowed it would be the best damn day of my summer. Please help me reach the stars and achieve my dreams.
July 9, 2010 at 7:13 pm
This will be our 15th year attending the beerfest. It would be sweet to get tickets for free this year. The beerfest has seen some our best moments!
July 9, 2010 at 7:52 pm
i want to try every beer!
July 9, 2010 at 8:47 pm
Hooray Beer!
July 9, 2010 at 10:22 pm
I would love to be picked.
This is my first Brewers Festival!
Cheers!
July 9, 2010 at 11:30 pm
This would be our first Oregon Brewer’s Fest and a great way to treat ourselves before family descends upon us! It’s been a rough year and a half (one of us got down-sized out of a job and there have been lots of other things making it rough). I can’t imagine a better pick-us-up than being picked for this year’s Brewer’s Fest tickets.
July 9, 2010 at 11:33 pm
My first summer spent here since being of age so I am really looking forward to this beer festival
July 10, 2010 at 12:07 am

July 10, 2010 at 11:16 am
I’m going to Germany in the fall to study abroad and I really need to be able to rub it in the Germans’ faces that Oregon “Bier” is better than any other beer in the world! Please choose me! If there is one thing the Germans are hoyte-toyte about, it’s their beer, but let’s be honest– we Oregonians DESERVE to be proud about our beer! Now I just need to try them all at the Oregon Brewers’ Festival to really strut my Oregonian stuff in Munich.
Choose me, and I’ll rep good Oregon beer in a foreign country! Whoooo!
July 10, 2010 at 2:17 pm
My first summer in Oregon from the midwest… I have to taste good beer…
July 10, 2010 at 3:53 pm
We volunteered last year for free beer and it SUCKED. Going for free without manual labor would be awesome!!!
July 10, 2010 at 4:07 pm
Beer. Dark frothy delicious beer. I’ve never craved beer until I moved to Portland. Prost to Beervana and hoping that I’ll be able to indulge in this years festivities with a few tokens that were graciously miracled to me.
July 10, 2010 at 6:55 pm
I’d love a chance to taste the best of Portland before I move to a different state next month. Thanks!
July 10, 2010 at 7:40 pm
Beer…sun…portland. Need I say more?!
July 10, 2010 at 8:35 pm
I have a bike race that weekend but would miss it if I got that awesome package. hope to see you there
July 11, 2010 at 8:25 am
Beer……….MMMmmmmmmmmmm!!!
July 11, 2010 at 10:26 am
My friend will fffiiinnnaaalllyyyy be back home from Iraq! Helping him live the dream at the Brew Fest would be a great way to celebrate his return
Much love
July 11, 2010 at 10:50 am
My husband and have wanted to go for many years but not really having a $100 buck we could just blow on beer. I work just across the street from the festival and have always wondered what was going on in there and that people seem to be having so much fun. I would love to go.
July 11, 2010 at 2:16 pm
If I was chosen I would place a pint of beer atop my head and walk around declaring, “I am the Queen of this Beerdom, worship me by consuming more of the nectar of the Gods!”
I would be the best beer queen ever! And I love you.
July 12, 2010 at 1:27 pm
I have never been to the Oregon Brewer’s Festival and this is going to be my first year! I’ve made it a goal to try all the breweries in Portland & Oregon! I need to go to this festival and try as many beers as possible and I will not be able to without winning this package. Please pick me. . . I would be so greatful.
July 12, 2010 at 11:09 pm
It’s on my best guy friend’s 21st birthday and I want to help him celebrate! He’s already planning on going but this would be the best gift ever!
July 13, 2010 at 2:24 pm
Of you haven’t already picked one of these… ahem.. kind folks for the package, send it my way. My girlfriend just had some major surgery and thanks to the doctor’s orders pretty much all she CAN do is drink and sit pretty, which she does oh-so-well. So, hook it up and give us something to do this weekend.
July 14, 2010 at 7:15 pm
stay at home mom, would love to treat her hard working hubby to a great afternoon with some GREAT! beer. come on i need a date nite/afternoon! help a sister out!
July 14, 2010 at 7:23 pm
I have no good reasons why it should be me other than, I want to go! take the wife out for a day, sounds like a good afternoon to me! Thanks
July 15, 2010 at 9:03 am
I just REALLY REALLY want to go! getting married in 2 weeks (actually, this brewfest will be my last ‘single’ weekend…more reasons why I need to go!) and just bought a house…so I’m pretty much broke
this would be a great treat!
July 15, 2010 at 2:03 pm
Sudsy, delicious brew? Yum. PDXPipeline is the bomb!
July 15, 2010 at 6:20 pm
I would love to go to the Oregon Beewers Festival. I have never attended, I love Oregon Beer, I don’t own a car so I am guaranteed not to drink and drive. Thanks!
July 16, 2010 at 12:27 am
Missed it last time I lived in Portland; not missing it this time
July 16, 2010 at 8:19 am
I love the OBF so much that I went alone last year! (I didn’t enjoy it very much.) I’ve got fellow beer appreciators to go with me this year, and we would love all those free tokens
July 16, 2010 at 8:43 am
I love beer!…my fiancee does not (sad). I need to let her try GOOD beer so she will learn that she just does not like crappy beer!
July 16, 2010 at 8:45 am
Would love to go because Oregon beers are the best! and we’ve never been to to Brewers Festival
July 16, 2010 at 9:01 am
We moved here a year ago and have been working so hard since then that we haven’t had time to enjoy the awesome beer fests we hear so much about. It would be a really, hoppy treat for us!
July 16, 2010 at 9:11 am
Few things are as much fun as hanging around with a few thousand of my drunk buddies.
July 16, 2010 at 9:38 am
I would absolutely love to win this package! The brewers fest is one of my favorite Portland events that I look forward to all year. It just exhibits one of the best things about this city, all the amazing beer!
July 16, 2010 at 10:42 am
What more can I say…..But Beer! We all want it, You know it, I know it….So lets just all go and have a wonderful time. It would be a little sweeter if it were free. So Help this gal out and I’ll drink to PDX’s Honor!
July 16, 2010 at 10:44 am
I would love to win and take my recently single girlfriend who has never been so we could meet some hot Portland men!
July 16, 2010 at 10:48 am
Beer, Natures perfect drink…..As we all know this has been a bad year for beer, The nonstop rain and the hops not really growing. Even Deschutes Brewery had to cancel there Black Butte XXII beer due to bad weather. I’m hoping to try the new brews and see how weather and beer effect each other. Neat little term paper if I do say so myself. Can ya help with this but leting me go on the house????
July 16, 2010 at 10:58 am
Forget all these youngsters with their needs to get the first legal alcohol poisoning for free and this beloved gathering! I am turning 30 in August, and, candidly, I’d love some free beer to commemorate!
In addition, I’ve composed a poem specifically for this beer comment event:
Oregon craft beers, we love you so!
Revelations appear wherever you flow.
Each come to the Brewer’s Fest in search of Beervana;
Get a pint in my hand and I’ll shout out hosanna!
Our state looks so gorgeous when hops are in season;
None can compare with our brewery legion!
July 16, 2010 at 11:32 am
Because I love beer!
July 16, 2010 at 1:34 pm
Best Beer Event of the Year!!! I’m so looking forward to the event. I love attending and hope I win tickets!!! Thank you:)
July 16, 2010 at 2:58 pm
Well, because I recently went deaf December 9th last year, and I just had a cochlear implant in February, I would absolutely love to be a part of this celebration, having just moved to Portland last year. I would love to celebrate my new found hearing with some great beer at the Oregon brewer’s festival, because I am quite sure I will also be able to hear better, with a couple of beers!
July 18, 2010 at 1:34 am

I want to go because the first year I went I invented my own beer song. And this year, I’m feeling the same inspiration – to create accompanying dance moves!
Drinking, so simple, a caveman could do it.
July 19, 2010 at 3:35 pm
This is one of my favorite summer events and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Winning the $50 package would make it even more memorable…or perhaps after that much beer, might not remember it at all
July 19, 2010 at 3:37 pm
This year’s fest holds three very important meanings to me, and I therefore I have three very good reasons to propose toasts: 1) My mother’s 59th birthday would have been this Friday, July 23rd. I raise a glass in her memory! 2) My sister just had her first baby! I raise a glass to celebrate my new baby niece! 3) My wife and I celebrate 10 years of marriage together this week. I raise a glass to my wonderful wife and our incredible marriage!
To celebrate these three things, I am going to need a lot of tokens to the BEST BEER FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD!!!
July 19, 2010 at 4:01 pm
I want to go because I was to broke to go to PIB and I’m about to have a baby in a month and I don’t think my girlfriend will let me go to too many brew fests for the first few months after our daughter is born. Help a new dad out!!!
July 19, 2010 at 4:56 pm
I am in support of these types of events because I truly appreciate the art of brewing. I am by all means a true connoisseur and I beleive that even for the people that claim to not enjoy beer there is one out there that they haven’t tried yet that they would enjoy. If not, there is still the ability to make it. Given the opportunity to try a wide array will allow me to spread the word to other beer lovers and to convert the ones who have not yet found their brew of choice.
July 19, 2010 at 5:06 pm
The Oregon BrewFest should be declared a PNW Regional Holiday so that all beer drinkers alike can truly enjoy the best beers in the world. I, myself am anxiously awaiting the date to taste a round of the hoppiest IPAs!
A personal bias definitely goes towards the Portland local breweries; however, there are some phenomenal breweries/beers that should be recognized for their good doings at OBF!
I would love to get hopped up on IPA at OBF!
Cheers!

I like beer.
July 19, 2010 at 7:25 pm

July 19, 2010 at 7:26 pm
I’ve been dreaming about Brewfest and I’m pretty sure its been dreaming about me.
July 19, 2010 at 7:41 pm
I really want to go to the Oregon Brewer’s Festival because I am a huge fan of Oregon beers and I have never been to the festival before.
July 19, 2010 at 7:59 pm
I want to go with my boyfriend, for whom this is an annual pilgrimage – bordering on a religious event and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate surviving summer surgery!!
July 19, 2010 at 8:08 pm
I’ve been going to the OBF every year since the first year I was old enough (let’s just say… more than 10 years, fewer than 20). It’s a major event that all my friends show up for… many from out of town. It’s the only chance I get to see some of the ‘old gang’ each year… so it’s important to us. This year my girlfriend (of 7 months) is going with me to meet many of these friends for the first time… and to experience the festival. Really looking forward to it.
July 19, 2010 at 9:12 pm
I’d like to win, because I like beer.
July 20, 2010 at 12:15 am

Portland has the reputation as THE home to micro brewery’s. What a better way to learn more about Portland, meet its citizens and become sold on the Brew Fest! Maybe all of those of us that are unemployed, can all practice our job pitches, make contacts, and relax and enjoy the City of Roses event of the year!

Well.. because there’s gonna be beer there.
Guess I’m hoping that this is a random “drawing”
and not a competition on the creativity of the comments
July 21, 2010 at 11:48 am
I want to win because I’ll have used all my tokens on the 22nd of July and since the drawing is on the 23rd I’ll need another 40!
July 21, 2010 at 1:23 pm
I’m really excited for this years brewfest! The weather should be nice and I always love to see all the local & out of state breweries participating! Much luv
July 21, 2010 at 3:00 pm
40 tokens would help me pay for the better half of the first day at the festival!
and for anyone paying attention, we are t-minus 21 hours from OBF opening. I believe I will start pregaming…….NOW.

This is such an awesome idea! I moved to Portland a few months ago and this event is a great way for me to get to know the city at it’s tastiest. Hurray for pdxpipeline contests!
July 22, 2010 at 12:54 pm
I would like to win because I love beer, especially Oregon beer; but I am a poor college student who can’t afford any beer. Please help improve the quality of my life.
July 22, 2010 at 1:55 pm
I went to the brewfest the first day I lived here and have gone each year since. It is a good way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of my move to PDX!
July 22, 2010 at 2:30 pm
I was reminded again recently why the actions of stupid men who don’t get what they want wreak havoc on the world around them. Story: One man gets turned down by a woman, thus not getting what he wants from her, because of the sheer fact that she is not interested in him. Why can’t he just let it go and move on? No. Instead, this stupid man becomes all bent out of shape, starts to behave like a baby, he yells, whines, cries, and cusses out the woman, as well as the other man the woman is interested in. This creates unnecessary drama between the 3 parties involved, as well as other friends associated with the incident, and leads to a knock down drag out drama. It could have all been avoided if one man could just let go of what he could not have.
Well, allow me to be the first to admist that I’m not a stupid man, I won’t wreak havoc on the Oregon Beer Festival, and if I don’t win this package, I can let it go and still enjoy life.
In summary, I would love to win the $50 package and if I did I would invite a completely different woman entirely to attend the festival with me to recooperate from this entire situation. What do you say?
July 22, 2010 at 3:58 pm
Beer is the most goodly godly delicious creation on earth, west coast & especially Pacfic NW beers are easily the worlds most diverse/robust/awesome – they simply have no competition, will share with and give the second mug to my sis, haven’t cut my hair in over two years and promise to advertise the beer on my face, haven’t experienced a beer festival before and am unable to go otherwise (no beer $, arg), July 24 is my birthday (23).
O, To Qualify!
July 22, 2010 at 4:34 pm
Please pick me!!! I am 27, new to Portland and have never been to a beer fest. My love of beer knows no bounds since moving to the great Northwest, and I hope to expand my palate this weekend. Again, please pick me!!!
July 22, 2010 at 4:57 pm
I would love to attend the best brew fest around but times are tight and would love to win some tickets. I have yet to attend this one and would make the summer just the best.
Jon
July 22, 2010 at 5:23 pm
With so many beers from all over the country, and of all the parks throughout our great nation ~ What better way to throw back a brew, than with the sweet crew that is bound for a great migration to the banks of the Willamette.
What better way is there for fellow Oregonians to come together in joyous celebration of IPAs to ESBs?
I can think of 81 for the big kids and lake with a huge Crater in it, for the little ones.
I yearn to be part of this festival that gathers so many folks of different temperaments, talents, convictions. Despite these differences, the root of it all, comes down to Oregon camaraderie that just can not be beat.
July 22, 2010 at 5:59 pm
ok see…i moved here from beer hell and as soon as i tasted the yummy goodness of Oregon brew i knew in my heart that i’d found home. my butt however, was not as pleased. so, i’ve been dieting and now my butt is smaller and i NEED good beer. i must attend this event…and free = good.
July 22, 2010 at 6:15 pm
I need Oregon Brewers Fest tickets because Oregon Beer keeps me here. It is truly the best stuff on Earth!
July 22, 2010 at 6:18 pm
I would like to be able to take my parents and have them enjoy the OBF for the first time. They have lived here their whole life yet have never attended in the 20+ years the brewerfest has been going on for.
July 22, 2010 at 6:25 pm
I like beer! This is my first chance to go to this, I turned 21 a few months ago!
July 22, 2010 at 7:16 pm
I would love to win tickets. Free tickets = more beer. : D
July 22, 2010 at 7:36 pm
Let’s give a cheer for free beer!
July 22, 2010 at 10:45 pm
Portland makes the best beer. I love to meet others and learn how to make my own beer
July 22, 2010 at 11:05 pm
My daughter’s birthday was 7/22 and she lives in portland. It would be a lovely way for her to celebrate and have an opportunity to learn about the beers that this fantastic state makes.
July 22, 2010 at 11:32 pm
Beer gives me vertigo, but I am willing to to deal with it just to sample all of the deliciousness at the Oregon Brewers’ Fest.
July 23, 2010 at 12:35 am
I would love to win this package more than anything in the world right now because my 25th birthday is on Sunday and I appreciate beer with all of my heart. I appreciate the brewers, the brewing process, and I love the delicious taste of an IPA on a sunny day. I really can’t imagine anything better than spending my 25th birthday around my friends and others who appreciate the same.
Not to mention I just broke up with my boyfriend and I start grad school in 5 weeks, so winning this package would make me awesomely happy!
July 23, 2010 at 6:15 am
I would like to win this so my husband and I could try the wonderful kinds of Oregon beer. We have lived here a year and just discovered Mcmenamins, to say the least we need to get out more!
July 23, 2010 at 7:28 am
I love trying new beer that tastes great.
July 23, 2010 at 8:56 am
After moving back to Oregon 1.5 yrs ago from Honolulu I was unable to attend last year’s event since I was at a wedding – so I haven’t been to this yet! My favorites are summer beers and can’t wait to see what our locals have concocted, especially in 80 degree weather on the waterfront – what a killer TGIF it would be if I win! Mahalo for considering me!!
July 23, 2010 at 9:07 am
I have not been to many different events in Portland, usually because funds are limited. I would love to go experience the Brewers fest. I hear great things about it!
July 23, 2010 at 9:47 am
I wanna win because I missed the brewfest last year and I’m a die-hard Oregon beer lover!
July 23, 2010 at 10:51 am
Oooweee I am so excited for the festival today! It will be my first time attending mydad is a home brewer and I love beer. can’t wait to try the varieties I love oregon =D
July 23, 2010 at 10:59 am
I want to win, because I’m a Portland girl and I love Beer and Music! Your site is awesome!! I hope I get some free beer tonight!!
We need some fun!!
Thanks!!
July 23, 2010 at 11:00 am
I want to win because I promise to use each and every token that $50 will buy, and I’m much more fun after $50 worth of tokens.
July 23, 2010 at 11:23 am
An Epic event for brewing; I don’t drink, I taste and must prove to my spouse that there are quite possibly more than one contender to Ninkasi. A sample of something as glorious as NewGlarus brings out the swilling slav in me.
Graciously grant these tickets to one so appreciative.
Cheers!

YAY for Portland on a sunny day! YAY for being in beervana!
