Corbett Fun Festival – All day and evening - www.CorbettFunFest.com
Event Location: 35800 E. Historic Col. R. Hwy. - Corbett OR 97019

Join us in Corbett, a little town with the biggest Community
sponsored fireworks display in all of Oregon
The 4th of July Corbett Fun Festival has been building for over 40 years and has something for everyone to celebrate. It is the BEST place for your family and friends to “Remember When”, which is this year’s theme.

We not only have an old fashion parade, inflatable water slides to keep you cool, one of the three largest fireworks displays in the metro area, we also have Elvis! That’s right, Elvis In Corbett! Justin Shandor Winner of the 2010 Elvis Tribute Artist Contest will rock the town with a full lineup of his tribute artist friends who will perform Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Stone In Love–Journey Tribute and Random Pressure a Portland cover band.

There is more music than ever on Monday the 4th of July ,but it starts early with a pancake breakfast, then you can listen to the rumble of the hot rods, the kids will enjoy the rain of candy when the parade starts at 11:00 am in Springdale. It will continue for two and a half miles ending in Corbett. At the event site which is located at the Jeff Lucas Memorial Stadium behind the Corbett Grade School right off the Historic Highway there you will find two stages to host the big shows which will start early and then go late. ( Starting at 1:00pm and going to 10 pm ) This includes three big Elvis shows of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s throughout the day and into the evening.

There will be a huge inflatable FunZone, lots of food vendors, crafts, the Stonyfield Family Love Fest interactive tasting tent, clowns, a mechanical bull, games, and a messy but fun pie eating contest for everyone—hands behind your back now! Don’t forget to fit in at least one “World Famous” Elephant Ear. Later in the evening it will wrap up with Justin Shandor‘s 70’s Elvis show and Stone In Love’s awesome Journey favorites. Then it will be topped off with
the largest community supported and awe-inspiring fireworks display at dusk!

So this year save your gas money and take a very short drive to Corbett—everyone‘s hometown. The event price for all of the music, FunZone and fireworks is included in the wristband ticket price of $7.00 for seniors, adults, teens, kids plus the little ones three and under are free. Visa will be accepted at the main gate only, cash is suggested and sorry no checks. It is a family friendly event on the school ground so sorry no alcohol

Parking for all day and evening is $5 and a portion of this cost will help local groups such as Corbett Outdoor School, CHAMPS, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and others. The Corbett Fun Festival Organization is also a non-profit run by volunteers. Help us continue the fun. The proceeds from the gate, elephant ears, and a portion of the parking fee all go towards the 2012 music, FunZone and fireworks.

For the fourth year in a row there will be a very limited number of signed collectable posters at the info booth for a $10 donation by Corbett alumni writer Clarence Mershon and artist Karen Hawley. They have helped set a very appropriate old fashioned patriotic tone. To keep this focus from 6 to 6:45 pm all Boy Scout, Girl Scout and Venture Crews are invited to stand at attention as the Corbett Boy Scout Troop #272 assists with the presentation of the flag to the Color Guard. At this time you will feel and hear the power of a Fly over in honor of all who have served our country.

As a tip from an insider…“Remember when” but don’t forget to pack jackets, low lawn chairs and “base camp” blankets for when the sun goes down. Also you don’t want to wait until the last minute to come up because the roads close for safety at 9:30/10:00 am with no exceptions for East bound traffic on the Historic. Columbia River. Hwy. at the Stark St. Bridge and at the I-84 Corbett Exit/Corbett Hill Road until parade is over.</description>
