7 Reasons You Should Check Out Portland's 7th Annual Stumptown Comics Fest This Weekend

Portland's seventh annual Stumptown Comics Fest takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Lloyd Center Doubltree Hotel. Here are seven reasons why you should attend:
1. April is Comic Book Month! – What better way to celebrate Portland's 3rd Official Comic Book Month than to schmooze with some of the city and nation's most talented illustrators and storytellers?
2. Exhibitors - Be sure to bring extra cash to the SCF because you will not be able check out the exhibitors booths without buying [or really, really wanting to] comics and assorted memorabilia. Don't fret; this is a good thing! Talking to the exhibitors is one of the best features of the event because it allows you to meet the masterminds behind your favorite comics, to get a glimpse of/purchase their other work, and, maybe – if you're really nice – to get the scoop on their upcoming projects. Strolling through the rows of exhibitors, chances are also good that you will meet some really awesome people as well as find some new comics (and artists) to adore.
