Just Another Music Monday: Firs of Prey

Firs of Prey-The Dawn Paints Me Grey
Some sort of swooning sweeps across a Firs of Prey record like trees whispering secrets in the late Spring bloom. Keep The Lions Asleep, Firs of Prey's latest EP out now on Electricity Lust delivers layers of harmony that live in a looping pedal, Andrew Miller is a softly booming choir unto himself. Balancing soulfully round crooning around guitar effects, like vines creeping up a picket fence, Keep The Lions Asleep (the record which includes a cut-along-the-lines mask and B-side with finely etched art) has been on my turntable for weeks now. To see Andrew be his own band live is like watching a time-lapse of a flower growing into a perfect record.
