This place is for you to rent out. There is a similar place near Portland Music on Beaverton Hillsdale that my kids always went to when they were in the Japanese program @ BHS. $10 is what you would pay for a movie these days. Instead of a movie, you get a chance to mingle with new people and get your Karaoke on. In this economy, I bet $10 re-pays itself in networking contacts. I can sing in a room at home (beautifully) ..... but I LOVE the "challenge" of singing in front a group of people I don't know too & trying to get passed those NERVES! We'll see. At Voicebox, you get a private room and a private karaoke machine/screens where you can play your music with no wait. This is the common way of karaoke in much of Asia and it is never free.
