Portland Theater: Tell us about your love life…and WIN two tickets to the musical COMPANY!

From our partners at Jane, a theater company:

Come see what is bringing the buzz for a local production of Stephen Sondheim's Tony award-winning musical COMPANY. PDXPIpeline's Tiffany Garner describes the show like this:Company @ Jane, Portland

"It's about a 35 year old bachelor named Bobby (Robert-darling, Bobby-baby) and the different relationships he has with his married friends. Some want to find him that special someone, some want to scare him out of getting into a serious relationship, some just want him around so they don't have to be alone with their significant other. Man, I can relate and I know there are plenty of Portland bachelors and bachelorettes out there going through the same scenario."

Can you relate? If so, comment on this post and let us know why COMPANY's theme would be relevant to your world of love, dating and marriage — and one lucky winner will score two tickets! Winners drawn Friday, October 23 @ noon.

Review: Content 2009 at the Ace Hotel

Posted by Julie Ma

Content 2009 @ Ace Hotel, Portland, Oregon
On Sunday evening, jaws dropped as attendees attempted to capture all that was happening on the second floor of the Ace Hotel in downtown Portland for Content 2009. 28 rooms were transformed into other worlds with added fashion flair by 38 independent clothing and accessory designers. No one expected to walk into a multiple-homicide murder scene (splattered blood and gag bags included,) or where a bathtub filled with goldfish accompanied one-of-a-kind locally designed dresses hung on the shower rod, or where a candle-lit room was taken over by a human-sized bird nest with a musical act performing at its core.

Fothing Interviews | Aubrey Jessen

Posted by Meagan Kate

This week, we continue our series of interviews with the stars and writers of Fothing, a scripted web series about the stars and writers of Portland's favorite improvised stage sitcom, Fall of The House.

Aubrey Jessen is often recognized as the lovely Julie from FOTH and is now playing herself in Fothing. When Fothing viewers first met her last week, Aubrey's character was a bit drunk harsh. Let's go with harsh. It was unexpected, and seemed a far cry from her work as Julie and even from Real-Life-Aubrey.

I got a chance to chat with the lovely Ms. Jessen [with a cameo from the mysterious Miranda King] about her work on the show and got some information about Episode Two, which premieres Thursday on www.fothingtv.com. As was done last week,  the cast and crew along with their fans and friends will screen the episode Wednesday night at The Woods.

Also, for some reason, Vimeo has given us this delightful thumbnail of Aubrey and I would just like everyone to know that I did not choose this. Though I probably would have if I could.
