I feel it is my duty to let you people know about the awesomeness of Ground Kontrol's anniversary week. Of course, that means you get to know about Free Play Wednesday. I do this in the hopes that if you see me and are hogging the Rampage, you jump off. There are a lot of buildings I need to destroy and I don't want to use $50 to do it. $5 though…that is perfect.

On Wednesday August 26th, there's no need to worry about saving quarters for laundry day, because it's FREE PLAY! Play all the pinball, and video games you want for five measly dollars. This month's FREE PLAY party is part of Ground Kontrol classic arcade's tenth birthday, so we'll be bringing out some special console games to add to our already fantastic lineup.

game companies ever with a celebration sure to warp you back in time:
the Nintendo Party!

Original Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Nintendo
Entertainment System consoles and games will be on free play on our
stage.. Re-live the amazing hype of Super Mario Brothers 3 with a
special screening of "The Wizard" to kick things off. We'll also have
cleaned & refurbished systems and games available to purchase so the
8-bit action can continue in your own home!

Dress the part of your favorite Nintendo character or bizarre
accessory and enter our costume contest for a chance to win a Ground
Kontrol gift certificate! DJ Epor will spin 8-and-16-bit inspired
tunes all night long.

MICROPALOOZA '09 – FRIDAY AUGUST 28

Bringing down the house on Ground Kontrol Classic Arcade's 10th
anniversary celebration is our annual chiptune festival Micropalooza!

Chiptune is the genre of music made using specially-hacked video game
hardware. So, just like your favorite video game soundtrack, this
truly unique festival will send you away with infectious 8-bit sounds
beeping in your head.

This year's lineup is a showcase of the Pacific Northwest chiptune scene!
