It's a Terrible Movie! | August 16th @ Coho Theater

terriblemovieflierwebIt's movie night. You pay your $12 admission and buy your $5 small cola and head into the theater to be entertained. Inevitably, the movie is terrible and you find yourself biting your tongue so you don't start shouting obscenities at the screen and demanding your money back.

But what if you went into it knowing the movie was going to be awful? That's the idea behind It's A Terrible Movie!, a one night event at (and benefiting) the Coho Theater this Sunday, August 16 at 10 p.m.

The brainchild of Chopsticks karaoke jockey and Man About Town Will Radik, the event will feature a screening of Masters of the Universe with running, Mystery Science Theater 3000-style commentary by Radik, Fatboy Roberts of Cort and Fatboy on KUFO, and Erik Henriksen, Portland Mercury film editor and author of The Warriors comic.

Don't worry; heckling and smart-ass comments from the audience are welcome and encouraged. Admission is on a sliding scale (between $5 and $10) and all proceeds go to the Coho Theatre, a local non-profit theatre company that puts on some of the most creative productions in town.
