Oh, I have got to see this.

The concept is brilliant. I could tell from just the position of the actors what the story was. Star Trek has become embedded in our shared lexicon. It is ingrained in our culture. That just a pose or gesture can evoke such a mass recollection brings the tale to Shakespearean proportions.

The chair! Enough there. The Turbolift... perfect. And imaginary bridge consoles... What absolute genius! Why have a prop when everyone on the planet knows exactly what is there anyway!

The artful evocation of shared experiences to relate a universal story was the greatest gift of Greek theater. To see this reflected in contemporary imagery is a temptation too delicious to deny.

Wife now has further proof that at least one of us is unhinged, but I'm looking for reasonable flights from Milwaukee to Portland even now.

Hope for sun,

BruceR

I've posted a few of my video caps here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/dalgoda7#play/uploads

I saw another set of them from the opposite angle as well, if you search for Trek in the Park. :)

The performance was fantastic, I loved it!

I saw the show today. Good job everybody, and you pulled it off in a continuous, soft, downpour. If you can act in that, you can do anything. The big upside was that the actors shirts became very clingy. Dr. McCoy, you've got nice pecs!

May Star Trek in the Park live long and prosper.
