PDX Music in the Schools: Lifesavas, Starfucker | June 11
June 9, 2009 — PDXPIPELINEIt is really a lot easier to support great causes when it also includes great music and $10 is a good deal for this lineup. From Press Release
PDX Music in the Schools is hosting its third annual benefit concert on Thursday, June 11th at Cleveland High School. This event, organized by students from across the Portland Public School District, raises money for the music programs in each one of the PPS high schools.
In this time of budget cuts and economic uncertainty, raising money for the arts becomes especially important. As students, we believe that music plays an important role in our high school education and want to make sure it survives in the years to come.
Our concert on Thursday is at Cleveland High School, and features local bands Starfucker and Lifesavas, as well as two high school bands Starparty and Don't Hurt Miles. The doors open at 7pm, and the concert starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are available through our website, and will also be sold at the door.

you need to step up the PR. My son and his friends had a poster for the concert but the website listed was from the battle for the bands and had no links to the tickets for this event. Really lame. We found our way but if you are really trying to promote it’s a bad job.

Yah this promises to be a great show. Starfucker’s manager is flying in from NYC for it and everything.
