Things I'm currently jocking…

1) Free ish… I have tickets to Juan Maclean, the M.C. Escher show at P.A.M., Dane Cook, Jens Lekman, Roller Derby and the Catwalk fashion show. Yet another excellent Filmusik at Hollywood Theatre is going on this Friday, June 5, at  7:00PM. In case you have not experienced Filmusik, each show offers a close listen in to the unique sophistication of sci-fi musical scores.  Here's what we had to say about the last one.

This week is the premier of Scott J. Ordway's Piano Quintet #2.  It is reported to be an intense live set by The Classical Revolution PDX Piano Quintet, and has been created to be paired with the 1958 sci-fi classic ‘Missile to the Moon.  There will also be a team of voice actors from the Willamette Radio Workshop dubbing the film live.

Price for general admission is $10.00 while seniors and students are only $8.00 at Hollywood Theatre.

In our never ending quest to find the best food and drink in Portland (and happy hours, music venues, tattoo shops, etc), we asked the good people following us on twitter where to find the BEST sushi in Portland.

There are more than 25 responses below, but the oft repeated answers are Saburo's, Yuki, Koji, and Murata. Still there are at least five other mentions including places all over Portland and even Beaverton.
