Store for a Month is John Brodie's new project. He's a well known figure in town as the ex-Manager of the Loved & defunct LaLuna, former longtime manager of Pink Martini, former manager of Muu-Muus* and current owner of Le Happy creperie.

Store For a Month, PortlandThat is a pretty good resume/CV. Forget about all that and focus on the project he is unleashing on Portland this week named 'Store For A Month':

Loosely based on Claes Oldenburg's "Store" from 1961, Store for a Month will be a temporary art object and "product" store that includes a working studio for the Proprietor and Store artists to make works on-site, although many works will be made in advance.

They have over 60 artists, a First Friday opening party, and of coursea twitter account.

Best Cocktails in Portland | 20+ Suggestions

People often ask me where to get a nice cocktail in Portland. Lotsa Luck Cocktails, Portland, OregonI don't have answers b/c apparently “bourbon rocks” and the Pabstini are not proper cocktails. Since we've been posting about Portland food and drinks on the Pipeline recently, we asked our twitter followers where they like to get a good cocktail.
