Frost/Nixon: Until May 10th – Portland Center Stage

All I'd ever learned about Richard Nixon was Frost Nixon at Portland Center Stagethrough my liberal Vietnam-protesting hippie Father, the movie 'Dick', and eighth grade History class (which is spotty because the lesson was mostly shrouded by jokes about 'deepthroat').

Being openly naive about Nixon's past and full Presidential career, I went to see Frost/Nixon when it came out in theaters.  I felt like I got something extra, a different piece of Nixon as a man, and of Frost as well; but I wasn't moved. I didn't find myself thinking about it later or discussing it with friends. When I was able to see the live performance of Frost/Nixon here at Portland Center Stage, however, the game changed.
