There are many listings so we have put events in red that we think will be good, well attended, or should be interesting.

Things I am currently jocking….

1) This weekends' activities! For real!! The Roots, Lifesavas, Lyrics Born, Soul Nite, Mark Farina at the 2410 Celebration Party (word on the street is there is also a guest by the name of Questlove, or Cali 2na, or Spinderella… well, there are a lot of guesses but I was told Mark Farina is playing two sets — one at the headliner spot and an early morning sunrise set that is the release of his new Mushroom Jazz project!), Filastine, Starkey, the Kulturszene Anniversary Party, the 15th Annual Beer & Wine Festival and so so so much more!

2) The sunshine we just had and will hopefully be having again soon. This city is a different place when it's sunny. I love it.

Time: Dance Lesson at 7:00, Kevin Selfe & The Tornadoes at 8:00, The Insomniacs 9:00-11:30.

The Insomniacs host their Portland CD Release & Dance Party on April 11th at the Roseland to celebrate the release of their second CD on Delta Groove entitled “At Least I'm Not With You”. Proceeds will benefit Music Education in Oregon Public Schools and the Oregon Music Hall of Fame (OMHOF) College Scholarship Fund.

The band's knack for cranking out infectious vintage grooves with an irresistible sense of swing has garnered a cross section of traditional blues aficionados, young music fans and dance fanatics around the world. The diversity of their fans is apparent at their shows and is reflected by the promotional supporters for this event: The Cascade Blues Association (CBA), Music Millennium, SwingTimePDX, and the Portland Blues and Jazz Dance Society (PB&J DS).
