Presentation on Peak Oil: Tuesday February 10th at 7:00 pm

John Kaufmann, Senior Policy Analyst Conservation Division at the Oregon Department of EnergyThe League of Women Voters will host the Presentation on Peak Oil at 7 pm on Tuesday February 10th. The event takes place in the Board Room of the Multnomah County Building, 501 SE Hawthorne. And hey, it's free!

Everyone is welcome to attend.

John Kaufmann, Senior Policy Analyst with the Oregon Department of Energy's Conservation Division, has the facts, the analysis, and some helpful suggestions for a sustainable future. (website link)

For anyone who missed hearing Mr. Kaufmann speak at the Bagdad, here's your chance to catch an informed presentation about the ever present future of black gold. Oil! I love oil. Oil is concentrated sun. The source. The power. The ineffable mystery. Let's just say okay, we worship the damn stuff, we love it, we fight over it, we depend on it, we use it every day (okay, we in the modern world, not the wood burning subsistence farmers).

Anyone, especially those who want to know the master narrative of our times, can tune into this presentation. It's like war and peace, only it's Oil and Love, the stuff that makes the world go round.
