Portland Open Mic: Bar XV on Monday Night | February 9

Comedians, poets, and musicians who want to get in front of a microphone, Bar XV hosts an open stage every Monday night. Nitya Prem is a theater artist who brings the sign-up sheet at 10 pm. The show rolls when enough people are in the room. “I've been running it for three months now and it shows no sign of stopping. It's a permanent weekly function of Bar XV and we could use as many creative people as we can get … especially a magician, I've been trying to get a magician for two months now!”
Nitya Prem also performs with Cosmic Lee's Intergalactic Traveling Show, which for some reason has an amusing acronym. (There's rumors of performers costumed as oversized genitalia, but that is just what I hear.) Open mic night welcomes any and all: musicians, magicians, story-tellers, poets, freestylers, comdedians, actors, jugglers, artists, strange faces and anything you can bring!
