Oregon’s Media Production Directory Spins Off New URL – SourceOregon.com
December Deadline to List Goods and Services to the Film and Video Industry

Portland, OR – The Oregon Media Production Association (OMPA) has launched a new URL – www.SourceOregon.com – to collect listings for The Source, the directory of virtually every service, product and freelance worker qualified to contribute to the state’s growing film &amp; video industry. The revised online format saves paper, and streamlines the call for listings process. The OMPA renews and acquires more than 1000 directory listings each year.

The easier to use online listing process facilitates gathering a larger number of contributors to the industry – something that makes Oregon even more attractive to the out-of-state productions that are courted to work here— and also facilitates communication among the indigenous film and video industry.

The effort to market Oregon is a partnership involving the Governor’s Office of Film &amp; Television, and helps contribute to the influx of cash that film and video brings to Oregon’s economy. The listings gathered are compiled in a bound directory that is distributed to production companies seeking resources in Oregon, as well as to industry members state-wide. The directory is also published online at www.ompa.org, however a re-skinned searchable database will exist at www.SourceOregon.com once development has been completed.

Directory participants reflect the often surprising breadth of services available to the film and video industry in Oregon, and include:

•	Production companies
•	Directors
•	Crew and freelancers
•	Talent and casting agencies
•	Equipment
•	Props &amp; wardrobe
•	Sets &amp; stages
•	Sound &amp; music producers
•	Post-production services
•	Interactive/multimedia agencies
•	Advertising agencies
•	Delivery services
•	Insurance companies
•	Hotels and other lodging
•	Legal services
•	Financial services
•	Transportation
•	Unions and guilds

Working with NeutralSpace, a start-up web development firm that includes OMPA member John Hartmann allowed OMPA to get more for their money. “Neutral Space was a good fit to take on this project with us because they had already developed Web 2.0 assets that would facilitate many of the functions we needed. This project however allowed both Neutral Space and the OMPA to go a step further in what we can offer our audience,” said Tom McFadden, Executive Director, OMPA.

Established in 1982, the OMPA is a trade association that supports the growth, development and enhancement of Oregon’s film, video and multi-media industry. For more information, visit www.ompa.org.</description>
