Yoshida's "Sand in the City" Begins Friday in Pioneer Square

The event opens for public viewing at 6 p.m. Friday July 13th and continues throughout the weekend with Kids on the Block puppets, incredible entertainment, children's activities and food vendors. 100% of the proceeds from this fun family event go directly towards supporting Kids on the Block's life-changing programs.
About Sand in the City
Yoshida's Sand in the City is the primary fundraiser and community outreach
opportunity for Kids on the Block. Yoshida's Sand in the City 2007, the 12th annual sand sculpting benefit for Kids on the Block, will be held July 13th — 15th at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland. On Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., more than 450 tons of sand will be sculpted into giant sculptures by local companies and organizations.
